PupMatch Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 18, 2026

Overview

PupMatch is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your personal information is yours — not ours. This policy describes exactly how (and how little) data PupMatch handles.

Data Collection

PupMatch does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All quiz answers, match results, favorites, and saved profiles are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. Nothing is sent to any server.

Analytics

PupMatch does not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, or telemetry. No usage data, crash reports, or behavioral data is sent to external servers of any kind.

Third-Party Services

PupMatch does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. There are no advertising SDKs, social media integrations, or data brokers involved.

Photos and Images

All breed photos are bundled within the application and sourced from permissively licensed stock photography. PupMatch does not access your camera or photo library unless you explicitly choose to share your match results, at which point only your device's native share sheet is invoked — no data passes through our servers.

In-App Purchases

Optional tip/support purchases ("Buy us a treat", etc.) are processed entirely by Apple's App Store payment infrastructure. PupMatch never sees or stores your payment information.

Children's Privacy

PupMatch is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from children or adults. The app contains no user accounts, no data collection, and no online features.

Data Retention

Because we collect no data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Your local app data (favorites, quiz history) can be removed at any time by uninstalling the app.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this policy, the revised version will be available in the app and at this URL. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
